Rosettes - Day 209

I was thinking today as I was making rosettes that I don't think I have ever done a tutorial of making them. SOooo, here it goes... You start with a long strip of fabric. The thicker the fluffier the rosette, the thinner the smaller.

Knot the end and put a little drop of glue on it. Fold the glued end and pinch. 

 Twist the tail a few times and add a dollop of glue to the knot and affix the twisted tail to the knot.

 Then you keep twisting and gluing. I add glue to like a compass: North, East, South, West.

 When the flower gets bigger you need to add more glue spots. Go until all the fabric is gone. You can add more fabric if it isn't as big as you want.

My plate - Day 208

I started eating better today and I am tracking my caloric intake and monitoring my activity. I am part of a group that is competing against each other to see who can gain the most points in the specified system. An example is -5 points if you eat after 7pm, and +5 points if you drink 64 oz of water a day.

Shower soap scum - Day 207

I saw this great idea on pinterest. You take 1 cup vinegar and 1 cup BLUE dawn. Warm up the vinegar when you add the blue dawn. It has to be blue dawn. I have no clue why, but that is the directions. So This is my shower door. yuck! I know, I know, I can say I let it get this dirty to try this out, but lets be honest.....I wasn't. oh well, I have soap scum.

End of the rainbow - Day 206

 What is the end of the rainbow???? A pot of gold! So this is my twist on the rainbow and the pot of gold surprise!

Isn't it beautiful! I wish I could leave it up all year long!!!

Smore kit - Day 205

I had to come up with an idea for a dessert to donate for my Church's young women fundraiser. It is to raise money to send the girls to camp. So I got to thinking SMORES!!!! So I made a smore kit and dolled it up. Super cute! I may just buy it and bring it back home!

Chandelier redo - Day 204

I have been wanting a cute chandelier for a while and have been looking for one at a reasonable price for about a year. Last week I found one in a thrift store for $6.00!!!!!!!! So I brought it home and sprayed the heck out of it. It is SOOO much better. I will eventually add crystals and cover the chain, but this is part one!! Benjamin loves it and every time he eats he has to turn it on because it is to pretty!

Neti pot - Day 203

My allergies thisyear have been horrible. My mother introduced me to the Neti Pot. You warm up water, add this little salt packet to it, put the spout in one nose hole, turn your head to the side, and pour the water. It will go up one side, flush the sinus, and out the other side. It is really weird, but trust me when I say it is totally worth it! It makes everything better! I wish I could do it all day long!
