Day 21

I quit.
I can't keep up.
When I feel good enough to blog one day, the next is horrible and I can't make it.

So I have made the executive decision to stop this month long process. I am not going to put that kind of pressure on my tummy. I am still gong to do better blogs that actually mean something and not just about the latest thing Ben has done. I have enjoyed the process of becoming a better blogger and would love to know what about the past 21 days have you liked most about my blog? What should I continue to blog about?

Thank you for following my journey and I hope to be a better blog.

Day 20

Today is my favourite quote day. I wish I had lots and lots of walls to put up vynal quotes because I think they have such a powerful influence on our lives. some of my favourites are:

"Life is to be enjoyed not just endured" Gordon B. Hinkley

I will love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be"

love you yesterday
love you still
always have
always will

"In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different" Coco Chanel

Ok, so now I want to know what are some of your favourite quotes? Where would you place them in your home?

Days 17, 18 & 19

I find it hard to blog on the weekends, so They will always be jumbled together with mondays post. I wanted to do a book review today on books I have recently read and enjoyed.

First up is Dan Brown's new book the lost symbol. I have read his other two books, the Davinci code and Angels and Demons and enjoyed those two very much. I love how he ties every day things together to create a hidden story. I think it was the art in The Davinci code that first got me hooked. This one was just as good. There was a part of the book where I gasped out loud, because I was so surprised. I enjoyed learning new facts about our Nations capital as well as the Masons.

Second is "The lightening thief" by Rick Riordan. This is a younger book so it did keep my interest, but I thought they could have had more. I was left feeling a little underwhelmed in places. It was still a great storyline, I am a sucker for Greek mythology. I am now excited for the movie to come out later this month. I think I will read the books that follow this one.

I read this book in about three days. It is really hard to put down. The first chapters are really hard to get through, but when you do it is like a party. I loved the characters and story line. It really made you think about important things. I am a huge Stephanie Meyers fan and this one didn't disappoint. I finished it about thirty seconds before boarding my flight home from Arizona. It was a tight fit, but I couldn't wait to finish it at home. As soon as I finished it I wanted the movie to come out and I wanted to be included in the cast. I was really moved.

This one I am reading right now. It is about Five generations of Jews who start in Poland. I am about a fourth of the way through, but I really have enjoyed it thus far.

Day 15

I found this recipe and before our diet it was one of our favourite pizzas. Trust us on this one, we used to eat a lot of pizza.

Pita Pizza

1/4 cup Alfredo sauce
4 pita breads (6 inches)
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
Peperoni
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 TBSP minced chives
Olives

Spread Alfredo sauce over pita breads. Top with Swiss cheese, peperoni, mozzarella cheese and chives. (I added more veggies and diff. kinds of meat) Place on un-greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 min or until cheese is melted.

Beware: These are really fattening and equally delicious!

Don't mind the gap - Days 10, 11 & 12

Sorry I have been MIA lately. There is a really good reason why. I made a really cute book with my new cricut about Ben and sent it to all the grandparents and now I wanted to share it with you! It is a play off of the children's book " Alexander and the horrible, terrible, no good, very bad day.""Benny's Fantastic, adventurous, very fun, good day!"

"Benny woke up one Thursday morning. A day like any other, but he could tell something was different. He had grapes that smelled like purple and cereal that crackled and popped. His juice was extra juicy and the spoon he used was a big boy spoon.

He knew this would be a FANTASTIC day. "

Benny loved his Elmo air plane. He would ride it all day long. He would put lots of balls inside the secret box in the seat, so the naughty creatures couldn't take them away. He loved to pretend that he would fly all over the globe. This day Benny imagined flying all the way to Grandma's house.

That would be an ADVENTUROUS day!

Benny has two dogs. Their names are Hazel and Caesar. They are the fiercest creatures in all the land. Benny spends days on end taming the wild beasts, so they won't eat clover the owl. They snarl and snort, but Benny just hugs and loves them. Someday he would teach them tricks to get treats.

Today was turning into a VERY FUN day!

Benny can't talk a lot yet, so he likes to learn sign language. He watched baby signing time. He giggles and dances when the diaper dance song plays. He learns a new sign everyday so he can talk to mommy and daddy. His favourite sign is food and fish!

It was a really GOOD day!

Benny knew that this day was special. He felt it all day long. He had a little twinkle in his tummy that fluttered. A little birdie told him something and he is so excited to share it with you...

Ben

is going to be a

BIG BROTHER!

Today is a Fantastic, Adventurous, Very fun, Good Day!

p.s I have been sick for two weeks and I am only 4-5 weeks along.
