Is it hot in here? - Day 27

Last winter our furnace went out. We didn't know it at the time, so we tried a few different quick fixes just in case. One of the ideas was to get a new thermostat. The one we had looked like it had been in the house since it had been built. We chose to get a programmable thermostat. It can be scheduled to change tempurature when you leave the house by time, date and even a special weekend button. This way when you are gone, the thermostat goes down a few degrees to save money and energy. Then it goes back up at a specific time. You can program different days to do different things too. I don't really use it due to the fact that I am home with the kids, but eventually I know we will use that feature. It is nice to know what it is there waiting for us when we are ready!
